Lone Star Hotel needs one (1) Accounting Technician who can start immediately. We are in North Battleford, Saskatchewan

Wages: $25.00 per hour for 35 to 40 hours per week

Terms of Employment: Permanent; Full Time,
Part timers will be considered

Employment Conditions: Overtime; Day; Weekend

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Languages: English

Education: Secondary School graduation Certificate

The following employment requirements need to be met to show competency to perform the main duties of the job:
• If completed of a certificate or diploma in accounting or bookkeeping, then no experience is required
Or
• If completed courses in accounting or bookkeeping, several months of experience is required.
Or
• If no education related to accounting, then 1-2 years’ work experience in accounting/booking.

Job duties:
• Keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
• Prepare quarterly GST return for review by an accountant
• Reconcile accounts
• Post journal entries
• Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
• Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
• Prepare the trial balance of books
• Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
• Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports
• Prepare tax returns
