Position Overview

Canwide Steel Ltd. is currently seeking two skilled and reliable Ironworkers to join our team in Surrey, BC. The successful candidates will work on active construction sites, contributing to the safe and efficient installation of structural steel components.

Key Responsibilities
Erect and install scaffolding, platforms, and falsework
Signal crane operators to position steel components according to specifications
Align, bolt, or weld steel units into place
Secure steel bars or mesh in concrete forms
Unload and properly position steel materials for hoisting
Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and technical drawings

Work Environment
Outdoor construction sites
Working at heights
Exposure to confined or high-temperature environments

Job Requirements
Language: English
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a related role

Physical Requirements
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment
Manual dexterity and ability to bend, crouch, and kneel
Strong attention to detail

Tools and Equipment
Must provide own steel-toed safety boots
