Block and Blade Restaurant and Bar is a family-owned restaurant that specializes in western cuisine. We need two (2) Chefs who can start immediately.

Wage: $15.00 per hour for 35 to 40 hours per week

Term of Employment: Permanent; Full-Time

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Languages: English

Education: Secondary school graduation certificate

Experience: 2 – 3 years

Job Duties:
• Plan menus and direct kitchen operations.
• Interact with clients in menu preparation for special events
• Recruit and hire staff
• Demonstrate to the cooks and kitchen staff the preparation and cooking techniques
• Instruct kitchen staff in garnishing and presentation of food
• Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
• Estimate food requirements and may estimate food and labour costs
• Ensure food meets quality standards
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies

Ability to Supervise:
Staff in various areas of responsibility
