Duties:

• Assign drivers to specific routes and loads based on delivery deadlines, truck capacity, and driver availability.
• Effectively coordinate the operations of truck drivers, workers, and equipment by using computer-aided communications and dispatching systems.
• Monitor employee location and workloads.
• Primary point of contact for drivers and customers in case of emergencies, accidents, breakdowns, or any other unforeseen issues.
• Maintain regular communication with truck drivers to provide them with instructions, updates, and any necessary information about their routes, pick-up, and delivery locations.
• Maintain accurate records of truck movements, driver logs, delivery confirmations, and any other relevant documentation using computerized systems or software to manage and update these records efficiently.
• Maintain work records and accurately complete time sheets and payroll summaries.
• Document mileage, fuel consumption, repairs, and other expenses both electronically and manually, and generate comprehensive reports.
