Shan Construction Services Ltd needs one (1) Accounting Technician who can start immediately. We are in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Wages:
$27.00 per hour for 35 to 40 hours per week

Terms of Employment:
Permanent; Full Time, Part timers will be considered

Employment Conditions:
Overtime; Day; Weekend

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants should meet the following employment requirements to be considered for the job
• Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field
Or
• Completion of two years (first level) of a recognized professional accounting program (e.g., Chartered Accounting, Certified General Accounting)
Or
• Courses in accounting or bookkeeping combined with 1-2 years of experience as a financial or accounting clerk is required.

Job duties:
• Keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
• Prepare quarterly GST return for review by an accountant
• Reconcile accounts
• Post journal entries
• Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
• Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
• Prepare the trial balance of books
• Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
• Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports
• Prepare tax returns
